This year’s PBX was so much fun! There were many new and exciting products debuted. I was very excited to visit the Picture Mosaics Booth to see their new products and the changes they have made to their SketchBot. SketchBot is ‘The AI Robotic Sketch Artist’ that uses the latest mesh of A.I. and machine learning to draw guests’ portraits. I also noticed there was another company has tried to release a similar product. So in this post I will review Sketchbot vs the “other” solution.
Let’s go through the product specifics.
SKETCHBOT
- Photo can be taken in their iPad app or by by any other camera system
- Sketches are drawn in 30 to 50 seconds
- The final sketch is very accurate (subjective)
- Opportunity to brand the 4×6 with a pre-printed design or have the bot sketch the branding
OTHERS
- Photos are taken by their app
- Sketches are drawn in 1.5-3 minutes
- The final sketch seemingly not accurate (subjective)
- Opportunity to brand the 4×6 with a pre-printed design
Many of the attendees including myself had our sketches done by both companies to compare the results. Check them out!
Based on what I’ve learned, I definitely have a favorite robotic artist (hint: initials SB), but you can decide for yourself!
